What we keep, and what we never will.
Duelo earns its keep one honest way: players who opt in let us license their anonymized solving-traces for AI research. That license is what keeps the arena free and the ranking real. Here is exactly how it works — no fine print.
What a contributed record is
One duel you consented to share: the problem, your trajectory (the moves you made to steer your AI), the machine-verified result, and timing. It is the process of solving — the part that teaches — paired with an objective verdict. The value is in the craft, not in who you are.
Nothing is contributed unless you switch it on in Settings. Off by default. Reversible anytime.
Exports carry a stable pseudonym — never your name, email, or account id. It is impossible by construction, not by promise.
Personal data and secrets are redacted before anything is stored. A redaction count is kept so the cleaning is auditable.
Sparks and reputation never cash out. The arena is a closed game; the only revenue is the external dataset license. You are never paid per move, so there is no reason to game it.
You hold the switch
Contribution is a single toggle in your settings. Turn it on when you want to help build the dataset; turn it off and future duels stop being eligible. Seed and demo content is never sold, and nothing un-consented is ever exported.
